About the Event

Cyclocross Singapore (CX SG) with OCBC Bank and Singapore Cycling Federation is pleased to organize our 5th Anniversary Singapore/Asia Cyclocross Open Championship.

In addition, we are pleased to introduce Driathlon as part of the event.

The debut of Driathlon consists of Kayaking, CX Course Cycling & Running.

Not forgetting Kiddy Push Bike.

Driathlon Categories

KAYAKING : 800m
CX COURSE CYCLING @ 4 X 1.2 KM LOOP : 4.8 KM
RUN: 2.4 KM

5 CATEGORIES:

  1. Single Kayak – Men’s Open – All Age Group
    (To complete Kayaking, Cycling & Running)
  2. Double Kayak – Men’s Open – All Age Group
    (Both to complete Kayaking, either 1 Cycling & 1 Running)
  3. Single Kayak – Ladies’ Open – All Age Group
    (To complete Kayaking, Cycling & Running)
  4. Double Kayak – Ladies’ Open – All Age Group
    (Both to complete Kayaking, either 1 Cycling & 1 Running)
  5. Double Kayak – Open Mix – Both Gender
    (Both to complete Kayaking, either 1 Cycling & 1 Running)

Entitlements

All participants will be entitled to Finisher medals & Event Dri-Tees.

All participants for Driathlon & Cyclocross are given Halal Packed Lunch.

Medals will be given to All Top 3 finishers.

Event Bike Jersey is optional.

Important Notice & FAQ

PERMISSIBLE BIKES:
1. Cyclocross Bikes / Gravel Bikes

2. Road Bikes with suitable tires for sand/trail/gravel

3. XC MTB / Enduro MTB / Full-Sus MTB

4. Fat Bikes

Note: All bicycles, regardless of the categories, must be properly fitted with two brakes.

FLOW OF RIDE (Driathlon):
1. All Participants must REPORT AT START POINT 30 MINS BEFORE THE START TIME for Safety briefing before flag off.

FLOW OF RIDE (CX):
1. All Participants must REPORT AT START POINT 30 MINS BEFORE THE START TIME FOR YOUR CATEGORY for Safety briefing before flag off.

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST:
1. Have the FINESSE to ride such event. Seek Doctor clearance if needed.

2. Able to ride TRAIL terrain.

3. Ride with a cycling helmet.

4. Not ride dangerously or negligently.

5. Not use any mobile music device while riding.

6. Not use hand-held cameras or telephones while riding.

7. Not ride with Aero helmet.

8. Not ride with their pets.

FAQs

1. Can I deposit my personal bag at start flag off point?
Yes, there is a deposit counter at the event site.

2. How do I check the timing?
By Manual

3. Is there any onsite bike servicing availability?
There will be bike mechanic on site. Do approach them if there is any issue with your bike.

4. Wet Weather plans. Will the event still proceed?
Organisers will assess the conditions and will make an announcement on event day.

5. There are trail terrains along the route. Do I need to wear knee pads or elbow pads for protection?
Yes. Riders are encouraged to engage self-protection.
