General information

Earth Hour will unite millions around the world to switch off lights on Saturday, 27 March 2021, from 8:30pm to 9:30pm to show we want a healthy natural world we can all rely on. Join the Earth Hour Virtual Run for Nature in support of efforts to save our wildlife, save our forests and save ourselves. Take action to protect nature, as it is one of our greatest allies against climate change and is vital for our survival and prosperity. Registration proceeds will be channelled to WWF-Malaysia’s crucial conservation efforts.

What is a Virtual Challenge?

A virtual challenge is a race that you can complete at your own pace and time.

Virtual challenge works exactly the same as any other type of sports events (e.g. running or cycling) but the difference is that the entered race can be completed at any location, either outdoors or indoors on a machine.

All you have to do is register for a race and provide evidence that you have done it. The evidence can be a screenshot of your running/fitness app, a photo of the machine screen etc. Do check out specific instructions of the event you join for more information.



Virtual races are a great way to stay fit and active all year round, run for good causes and get awesome medals and other entitlements for your participation!

By registering for the Earth Hour Virtual Run For Nature you declare that you are participating at your own risk in the Earth Hour Virtual Run For Nature. You hereby agree to waive your rights to sue WWF-Malaysia for any losses including but not limited to personal injury, property damage or death that result from your participation in the Earth Hour Virtual Run For Nature.

You do hereby agree and undertake to indemnify WWF-Malaysia and all other persons concerned in the organisation of the Earth Hour Virtual Run For Nature and will at all times hereafter indemnify them and keep them indemnified from and against all proceedings, claims, expenses and liabilities whatsoever which may be taken or made against them or incurred by them in respect of consequences of any accident, property damage or injuries and/or if it results in death to yourself whether caused by your own act or that of any other persons whilst participating in the Earth Hour Virtual Run For Nature organised by WWF-Malaysia.

Parents registering on behalf of their children agree to the waiver and indemnity clause above on behalf of their children.

Please note that Earth Hour Virtual Run for Nature registration is not eligible for tax deduction.
